SHANGHAI, Nov 18 (SMM) – A national-level automatic driving test base, with a total investment of 9.6 billion yuan, will start construction soon in Nansha District in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou, according to Guangzhou media reports.
This is part of China’s efforts to promote digital transportation of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.
The move will also facilitate the testing of automated cars on public roads, making the large-scale introduction of autonomous vehicles a reality sooner than expected.
